The problem
Pallet companies buy used cores from many small suppliers, grade and repair them, build new pallets to customer specs and run pickups and deliveries all day. Grade sheets, pickup tickets and supplier payments still travel on paper and get retyped into accounting, so stock by grade and true cost per pallet are guesswork.
