Start a software business without coding
You don’t need to write code to sell software. You need to know a group of customers and a problem they have. This guide explains what that takes with multipliers.ai: what you need, the two ways to start, who does what, and the limits worth knowing before you decide.
What you need
None of this is technical. You need:
- To know an industry, or a group of customers, and the problems they deal with week after week.
- A brand: a business name, and ideally a logo and colors.
- Time to find customers, talk to them and look after them.
- Your own Stripe account, so your customers can pay you (we have a step-by-step guide).
- For now, to live and run your business in the United States — buying is available there first.
Two ways to start
Pick a ready-made app. Each app in this week’s drop is built for one industry and already works. You license it, put your brand on it and offer it to the customers you serve.
Bring an idea. If you know a problem that no app solves well, submit it to Build It Live. Our team reviews every idea, approved ideas go on the board for the community to vote on, and each week our team may pick a voted idea to build live on camera. Not every idea is picked to be built.
What multipliers.ai does, and what you do
With Host & Operate, multipliers.ai creates the software, sets up your own separate copy of it under your brand, hosts it, monitors it, keeps it secure and ships updates. We don’t run your business — that part is yours.
You choose the customers you serve, set their plans and prices, sell to them, and look after them. Your brand is on everything your customers see, and the customer relationships are yours.
Honest limits
Worth knowing before you decide:
- Buying is available in the United States first.
- The licence is non-exclusive: other people may sell the same app under their own brands. You stand apart through your brand and the customers you serve.
- Host & Operate has a one-time setup fee and a monthly service fee that keeps your app running. All sales are final.
- You can start with yourname.apps.multipliers.ai until you decide on your own custom domain. Connecting your own custom domain is coming; it isn’t available yet.
- Not every submitted idea is picked to be built, and ideas are not paid for.
- The software is only part of it. Whether you find customers depends on your own sales efforts, your pricing and your market — we make no promises about results.
