The problem
Hardwood mills and concentration yards sell by species, grade, thickness and board footage to flooring, cabinet, pallet and export buyers. Tallies, kiln moves and orders sit on handhelds, paper and old desktop systems, so sales cannot see what is dry and sellable, and each export load's paperwork is rebuilt by hand.
